Hull has been chosen as the City of Culture 2017. The event started with a bang on New Years Eve where local citizens were treated to a fantastic light show and firework display in the center of Hull and at the Humber Bridge.
In anticipation of this momentous historical event, the children in Phase 3 have been working extremely hard on our topic last term which was ‘Our Local Environment’.
The pupils visited the city, researched the cities personalities, buildings, docks, structures and history. They also enjoyed taking part in various art and D&T projects, especially pleasing was the enthusiasm the children displayed for their home city. Some artistic pupils worked at home with family and friends producing fantastic models and artwork depicting various aspects of the city.
Well done Phase 3 for all your contribution to a fabulous project. Please click here for some pictures of the children’s work that is now displayed in Phase 3.
