Twenty pupils from year 5 and 6 were given the opportunity to attend a STEM conference at the KC Stadium on Friday 25th November.
It was an amazing day; the children took part in various workshops aimed at getting them excited about STEM.
Frozen carbon dioxide, acid/base balance and crime scene investigation techniques wowed the children in the morning. After lunch was just as exciting with, balloon powered rocket cars and hovercraft’s helping the children to understand about combustion and friction.
The pupils came away with a buzz of excitement and they represented themselves and the school exceptionally.
