At Biggin Hill Primary School Academy we incorporate the teaching of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals across the curriculum and cover a variety of world issues such as plastic pollution, climate change and quality education. This allows the children to develop a deeper understanding and respect for the wider world in which we live.
Our partnership with Progressive Primary School in Freetown, Sierra Leone, plays a crucial role in developing this understanding. Our classes have already received welcome letters and gifts from the pupils at Progressive Primary School and thoroughly enjoyed reading how happy they all are and showing off their work to all of the school.
As our partnership progresses, we will work on multiple joint projects that will take our partnership to the next stage. Through future visits to their school in Freetown we aim to share our knowledge and we will learn so much from them. Our aim is to make the children at Biggin Hill Primary School Academy global citizens and this partnership gives a great foundation for our ever developing global curriculum.
