During the half term Ben came up with the idea all on his own, to raise money for Dove House Hospice as one of his family members have unfortunately had to access the services in the past.
After a brain storm of ideas, Ben decided to invite all of his family together for a ‘Bake Off” where each family member brought their baked goods to taste and had to pay £5 to enter. Ben also charged 10p for cups of tea and £1 a strip for raffle tickets. The left over cake was then taken to Dove House Hospice which was then sold to visitors.
After all of Ben’s hard work and determination, he has managed to raise a huge £252.01 for Dove House Hospice. Both the school and his parents are so proud of Ben as to how grown up he has behaved through his fundraising and his acts of kindness towards others. Since donating Ben has decided that in Spring he will do a sponsored event to raise even more money. A big well done to Ben once again!
