Well done to all recipients of the headteachers award this week!
The headteachers award is announced every Thursday.
One pupil from each class in the school is nominated for the award, either by their class teacher or by another member of staff that has recognised good work.
The awards are given out for a variety of reasons, across all subject areas. Some children receive the award for their academic achievement, whilst others may get it for good handwriting, or being a good friend on the playground.
The awards are handed out in the Friday morning assembly and parents are invited to attend and watch their children receive their award.
A big well done and thank you to everyone who has contributed today to our Macmillan Coffee Morning events.
Years 3,4,5 and 6 managed to raise £59.83 selling buns and the coffee morning in the small hall raised £72.50.
We are still collecting donations from around the school and other events so haven’t got a final total as yet.
Thanks again!!
Last Thursday Phase 2 had a Pirate Day as part of their topic this term on the Vikings. They learnt about the meaning of the word Viking, which means a ‘pirates raid’, and looked at the similarities between pirates and Vikings. To end the day they sang pirate songs, waved their pirate flags and wore pirate hats!
Everyone had a fantastic day – and they all looked great!
